The good documentary just released. Para Hiking ‘Inspiring The World’ or actually called ‘Blind Hiking’ before changed the title, an idea from 3 blind disabled people who wanted to climb the mountain. This movement initiated by Dedi Afrianto (blind Disability) and Arung Raditya (cerebral Palsy) since 2017 but can be implemented in 2018 through a series activity of WOW Indonesia and conjunction with the 20th anniversary of Asia Works.
Embrace The Humanity is the theme, and the mission was brought five disabilities people (three blind disabilities people), (One physically disabled) and (One Cerebral palsy) to climbed Gunung Gede-Pangrango in West Java. The team also consisted of volunteers who were assistants and support from local porters.
The climb itself was carried out on November 29, 2018 and chooses the ‘Gunung Putri’ as the best route but more steep compared with the other routes. The difficulties were the hiking trail and also the bad weather and almost failed to reach the top. But finally the team reached the top of the mountain on December 1, 2018, and they were really proud when they raised the Indonesian flag at the top.
The climb experience was made in a documentary that directed by Fajrian and Nusa Visi. Not only to document the activities but also to share the valuable experiences of disabling climbers. This documentary will be participated in International Documentary Festivals before it shared through digital media. You should watch it!.
